As respected designers, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were seen looking remarkably unique as they presented their new Textiles lines. Under their Elizabeth and James brand, the new Textiles line features vintage inspired denim pieces including 1970's flare styles, distressed slits and patchwork detail.
At the event to launch the line Mary-Kate wore pointed pump shoes with slim burgundy cargo pants and a black leather crocodile print sweater. While Mary-Kate chose to match her ensemble, Ashley decided to venture out and wear some really quirky pieces.
Ashley paired her slouchy khaki military pants with a vintage Krizia sweater in a wild fox print, circa 1980's. The scary thing is, my mother still has several sweaters with obnoxiously loud prints including flowers, cheetahs and bold graphic prints hidden somewhere in the back of her wardrobe that haven't been worn for good reason since the 80's. Trust an Olsen twin to bring them back into vogue. I suspect we'll be seeing these retro sweaters make a comeback in most high street stores over the coming winters.
Ashley accessorized with bracelets and mint green shoes, both by Balenciaga. Everything about her outfit clashed, but she made it work just like she always does.
